6 kW Single-Phase Hybrid Solar Inverter

The V-TAC SUN-6K-SG05LP1-EU-AM2-P is a 6 kW single-phase hybrid solar inverter designed to manage the energy flow between photovoltaic panels, batteries, the utility grid, and consumers. The inverter supports both grid-tied operation and off-grid power supply solutions.

High input power of solar panels

The inverter supports up to 12 kW of connected photovoltaic panel capacity and up to 9.6 kW of maximum PV input power. The maximum PV input voltage is 500 V, the startup voltage is 125 V, and the MPPT operating voltage range is 150–425 V.

Two independent MPPT trackers

The inverter is equipped with two MPPT trackers, which allow for the efficient management of solar panel strings oriented in different directions or located under varying conditions. The maximum PV input current is 18A + 18A, while the maximum short-circuit current is 27A + 27A.

Low-Voltage Battery Support

The inverter is suitable for lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries with an operating voltage of 40–60 V. The maximum battery charge and discharge current for the 6 kW model is 135 A. When using lithium-ion batteries, the charge control automatically adapts to the battery’s BMS system.

Backup Power Supply Function

Flexible Battery Charging and Discharging Control

The inverter provides six programmable battery charging and discharging time periods. This allows energy storage and usage to be adjusted according to electricity consumption and user needs. Energy storage from a diesel generator is also supported.

Parallel Operation

The system allows for the parallel connection of up to 16 inverters for operation both in grid-tied and off-grid modes. It also supports the parallel connection of multiple batteries.

LCD Display and Communication Capabilities

The inverter is equipped with an LCD display for monitoring and configuring system operating parameters. Wi-Fi, RS485, and CAN communication interfaces are available for data transmission and system integration.

IP65 protection

The IP65 protection rating provides protection against dust and water exposure. The inverter’s operating temperature range is from -40°C to +60°C, but power derating is applied at temperatures above +45°C.

Integrated protection features

The inverter features built-in protection against DC polarity reversal, AC output overcurrent and overvoltage, overheating, short circuits, islanding, insulation resistance issues, and leakage current. A DC switch is also built in, while arc fault protection is available depending on the configuration.
