The AJAX MotionCam (PhOD) Jeweller is a wireless indoor PIR motion detector with a built-in camera. It not only detects motion but also allows you to visually verify an event by receiving images in the Ajax app. The PhOD ( Photo on Demand ) feature allows you to request a photo at any time, while the device also supports photo capture in the event of an alarm, scenario, or other system events.

HDR Images and Infrared Lighting

The built-in camera uses HDR technology, which helps produce more balanced and clearer images in various lighting conditions. The maximum photo resolution is 640 × 480 pixels, while the built-in infrared lighting allows for photo verification even in the dark or in low light.

Motion detection up to 12 m

The PIR sensor detects motion at a distance of up to 12 m, and the horizontal detection angle is approximately 88.5°. The SmartDetect algorithm analyzes the sensor signals and helps reduce the likelihood of false alarms.

Pet Ignore Feature

When the detector is properly installed and configured, it can ignore pets weighing up to 20 kg and standing up to 50 cm tall, thereby reducing the likelihood of false alarms in rooms where dogs or cats are present.

Jeweller and Wings Wireless Technologies

Jeweller radio communication technology ensures secure two-way communication with the Ajax control panel, while Wings technology is designed for transmitting photos. In open areas, the radio communication range between the device and the control panel can reach up to 1,700 m.

Long battery life

The detector is powered by 2 × CR123A 3 V batteries. Depending on the settings and use of the photo functions, battery life can be up to 4 years; active use of the on-demand photo function may reduce battery life.

Protection Against Sabotage

The device features tamper protection against opening the housing or removing it from its mount, device authentication, and mechanisms for detecting radio interference. This helps ensure secure operation within the Ajax security system.
