The laser tube must be water-cooled during operation; do not turn on the high-voltage output at the same time. You must also ensure that the positive and negative terminals of the high-voltage output are correctly connected to the positive and negative terminals of the laser.

The internal design of the power supply is engineered to discharge any residual charge when the power is turned off, which typically takes two seconds. For safety reasons, care must be taken to avoid electric shock.
