Can an LED reverse light be used on the road?

Yes, if it carries ECE R23 approval (stated in the title). A light without certification is fine for the yard, field or site, but not as an official reverse light at inspection.

How do I wire an extra reverse light?

To the existing reverse-light wire (+) and ground (–) – it comes on together with the factory reverse light. For floodlights above 30 W we recommend a relay.

Why is the fog light red and the reverse light white?

Regulations require it: rear fog is red and mandatory on trailers, reverse is white. Combination WAS lights put both in one housing.

What is a reversing alarm and who needs it?

A beeper that sounds when reversing. Mandatory on many machines (forklifts, excavators, municipal vehicles) and useful on any truck working where people are around.

Does the Octax position light replace the regular one?

No – the 3-colour position light is an extra so the lamp stays visible when not reversing; the official position lights remain.
