Ajax reaches a whole new level of technology in residential fire protection with FireProtect 2. A unique smoke chamber that is dust-proof and insect-proof, a dual-spectrum optical sensor and a patented HazeFlow 2 software algorithm. Guarantees speed and accuracy of fire detection - maximum safety without the stress of false alarms.
The smoke chamber is connected to a dual-spectrum optical sensor that has blue and infrared LEDs of different wavelengths. It uses the most reliable real-time detection method by directly measuring the concentration of microparticles in the air. This technology allows FireProtect 2 to detect the size of volatile particles in the chamber and react only to smoke, ignoring steam and water vapor.
FireProtect 2 is equipped with two class A1R thermistors to detect smokeless fire threats. They provide a significant advantage in detecting rapid temperature increases when synthetic materials burn or fires start from smoldering. Thermistors are located outside the housing to prevent life-saving detection delays. So FireProtect 2 is ready to detect a fire as soon as possible, even if it starts unnoticed.
To receive alarm notifications remotely, the device must be connected to an AJAX control panel: Hub Plus, Hub 2 (2G), Hub 2 (4G) or Hub 2 Plus

Interconnected fire detectors
All fire detectors in the system turn on the built-in sirens if at least one of the detectors registers an alarm. An interconnected fire alarm is activated during one “hub-to-detector” polling interval, but no later than 20 seconds later.
LED indication
Green power indicator
The LED indicator on the device case lights up once every 56 seconds. The indication meets the requirements of EN 50291.
Yellow indicates malfunction
If malfunctions are detected, the LED indicator lights up in the device case. For example, if the battery is dead, the smoke chamber is contaminated or the service life is coming to an end.
red is a fire alarm
The LED indicator on the device body lights up when the detector registers a fire alarm.
Button on the front panel of the detector
In normal mode, when pressed, it starts the smoke chamber test. In the event of an alarm or malfunction, pressing silences the detector's audible notification.
Recommendations
The device is intended for indoor installation only. The SmartBracket mounting panel allows you to adjust the position of the detector after installation.
